Burnout is the feeling of physical and emotional exhaustion, due to stress from working with people under difficult or demanding conditions. Burn out is followed by signs such as chronic fatigue, quickness to anger and suspicion, and susceptibility to colds, headaches, and fevers.

A few reason can be behind a freelance burnout.
Are you a yes man? Are you over committed? Are you taking care of yourself? Do you take enough time off?

How to avoid to do a burnout?
The goal is to never get there, stay healthy! Take time off, review your work / life balance, delegate tasks when possible.
If you work too much, update your freelance goal. It’s good to do a retrospection every few months. Big company do it too, twice a year with their team to check what works well and what doesn’t. It’s a reflection to help solve blocker elements and improve the workflow.
